Many of the conditions we live in today are not helpful to the good bacteria in our intestines. Chlorinated water and antibiotics are just two examples of things that are harmful to good bacteria and keep us from having the proper balance in our system. This can be counteracted by introducing those microorganisms back into our bodies by taking probiotics vitamins.
Probiotics are microorganisms just like those found naturally in the human gut. They are a product of the fermenting process, and can be found in such foods as yogurt, sour milk products (buttermilk and kefir) and some pickled foods such as sauerkraut, Kimchi and other fermented vegetables. Recently, probiotics have been added to some foods to make different foods “probiotic.”
Probiotic vitamins are made by taking healthy natural food products and fermenting them to create the probiotics. The microorganisms are them removed, or in some cases the food product is preserved along with the microorganisms. These are sold in the form of a powder or probiotic capsules to be eaten like a vitamin supplement.
If you want to give your immune system a boost, improve your digestion and possibly avoid or alleviate many illnesses, taking probiotics vitamins every day is a good way to be sure that you are doing everything you can to maintain the proper balance of beneficial bacteria in your system.
